After about an hour, the air mixture diminished so that the flame did not maintain it's strong torch effect. No matter what I tried, the flame was not blowing hard like it was when I first started using it. It was weak and flickery.

This thing is amazing. More like a flame thrower than a torch. There are many things that I like about this one besides the the actually flame size. The electric start is sweet, sometimes the flame goes out and you have to turn the feed rate down. This is probably why other have a hard time starting it. If you hold it about 12 or 13 inches away from your target and aim at the base it will roast the weed better than if you aim at the top of them. It will create a vortex of fire on the base of the weeks. This vortex will almost instantly turn any leaves or dry material to ash. I also like the 10ft hose, all of the other brands we only 5 ft and that would be annoying if it was only 5 ft long.To sum up Great tool! The burner power is incredible and it has a 10ft hose. You will need a AA battery.

Always wanted one so I reviewed several of these because we have never used one for weed elimination.This operates exactly as most of the reviews said it would.There’s a small connecting bracket that I had to install add it operates as legs to prop the tool up to allow it to cool down. EasyFor my use I attached the propane tank to a moving dolly for ease. The weight of a full tank while using this beast would be taxing so I recommend a smaller propane tank and/or purchase the backpack tank holder to allow you to move freely as you workLove this tool already and will save my back (the length of the burner makes it possible to use while standing up without bending)The electric starter took a AA battery and the quality of the start was as expected.I recommend!

After reviewing several other torches, I purchased this one. Two key factors influenced my purchase. The first is the ignition system, it's flawless. I read so many reviews on other torches and their biggest complaint was the piezoelectric "click" starter failures. The electronic starter on this torch is far superior. Second is the length. So many other torch reviews complained about back aches from bending over. The length on this torch is perfect.I have a somewhat long stone driveway and, years previous, have spent hundreds on "Roundup" like chemicals to kill grass and weeds growing in it. This is a much easier and economical solution.The only recommendation I would have is to purchase a quality hand truck to put your 20 pound propane tank on.
