These are nice quality that state “fits most paddle types”, but unfortunately are too small for both my brands of detachable kayak paddles: Pelican and Caviness. My paddle shafts are 1 and 1/8” diameter. These drip rings state on the packaging they are for paddles of 1” diameter. I had hoped 1/8” difference was insignificant, but it isn’t. Because the rubber of these drip rings is thick and durable, they don’t stretch at all. I supposed I could maybe heat them with a heat gun and try to stretch them, but I double I’d get them off again. Looks like I’ll have to go with the floppy cheap ones from China that some people complain are too loose. Those folks probably have 1” paddle shafts meant for these rings. I don’t see an alternate Propel brand option for slightly wider diameter drip rings.

It is amazing how well these stop water from getting over everything.

Heat them in hot water to soften and installation is easy. These are slightly smaller ID than standard rings but that makes them perfect for youth paddles. They fit the paddles that came with my Lifetime kayak WAVE model perfectly.

Not flexible enough to even get it onto my reg size paddle

My original Hobie paddle drip rings were too loose and would not stay in place. These new ones fit super tight on the paddle and they stay in place. In the beginning, they were near impossible to put onto the paddles due to the tight fit. Some of the other reviews mentioned using hot water. I ran hot water from the faucet, let the ring soak for 5 minutes, and it didn't help. Next, I microwaved the water to get it near boiling temperature. I dropped the ring into the water and let it sit for 5 minutes (I did not microwave the ring). The ring then easily slid onto the paddle. And after a few minutes it was tight on the paddle.

Pretty simple to install. Wet paddle handle, wring onto handle to desired distance from paddle blade and you're done. Much drier experience!

I bought an inexpensive Lifetime kayak, and the included paddle came with no drip rings. These fit perfectly, and soaking them in hot water for a few minutes made installation easy. These are a good upgrade for a paddle with no drip rings.

The good: very strong, stiff, hard rubber oar rings - should work well and last forever! The bad: the inner diameter is several millimeters smaller than advertised, making them impossible to slide onto the oars. They MUST be (very carefully) reamed out (I used Dremel grinding tool) to be able to fit.So... Don't buy unless you have the tools and ability to accurately ream them to fit.

Product is made of inflexible hard plastic and does not fit my kayak paddle. We have several paddles of different brands and the handles are all the same diameter so these rings do not fit a standard kayak paddle and they aren’t flexible enough to stretch on. The plastic also scratched up when I was trying to make them fit so I can’t return them. Disappointed with this purchase.
