This is one of the most impressive off-brand tools I've seen in a while. I'll admit that after years of name brands, I've started buying some of the HF house brands. It seems that the factories are starting to reach a higher level of quality all around and this "Prostormer" hammer drill is a good example. I really can't find any issue that would make me want to pay more! This tool has a good "chuck" that grabs the SDS bit well and positively. It's actually better functioning than my old red M hammer drill. It does the job and feels great to use, like a quality tool. It has a good vibration isolation handle, excellent overmolding and is just very solid. The case is pretty good, about typical for mid-level name brand tools and should last some time. The fact that they also include the SDS bits of good size is awesome. Time will tell how the metal is but they look good. These alone are worth $20-30 online and more if you have to run to the store for one.Even comes with a tube of grease and spare brushes.WHAT A DEAL! I'm impressed. Great price/performance ratio and highly recommended for DIY up to occasional use professional.

I got this to replace my normal hammer drill, which has a standard drill chuck.. This is NOT an acceptable replacement for it.. This is not to say that it is bad, but more along the lines of both, the kind with a regular drill chuck, and this are on 2 different levels..This one uses a single size shaft that locks in place into the drill chuck on this.. I missed that when ordering it.. Because of this, you will not find small drill bits that will work with this, like you can in a standard drill chuck..This is not light.. Not extremely heavy, but not light either.. I think it said it was something like 12 pounds?? and the power it uses is 1300 watts, so don't expect to run this on a 10 amp breaker..I tried the different settings, and all of them worked with no problem.. I only have limited use with this so far, so no long time use comments yet.Overall, I have had no problems with it so far.. It does not feel high quality, but it does work.. So for my uses, which i do see me using occasionally, I think it will work fine for me.. But in an industrial environment, I would get something better.. For the price, not too bad though..Since it did come with only a small assortment of bits, I did order some more bits to use with it, like a bit big enough to fit a water pipe through.. Overall, I think it is priced decently for the quality that you get.

This is my first time using a chisel / rotary hammer drill. I got it to have on hand for my home renovation and will need it to break up a small concrete slab, tear down a chimney, and drill some holes in my slab for mounting a deck ledger. I also have packed clay soil around my home and find it extremely difficult to dig holes in it when its dry. This will work well breaking up the soil while digging holes. The projects I have are months away but I wanted to give this a small test just to make sure it is working properly. So far my initial impressions are pretty good.I grabbed a cinder block and a couple of large stones I had around the property and tried chiseling and drilling all 3. What I found is that it drilled through all 3 like butter with one of the included bits. I also noted there was no real sign of damage to the bit once I was done. I also tried one of the included chisels and found the cinder block to be no match at all and it also broke up one of the rocks easily. On the other harder rock, the chisel hardly put a scratch in it and did blunt the chisel a little. The kit comes with everything you need to get started. A nice blow-molded case for storage and transport, 3 drill bits, 2 chisels, grease, replacement brushes, a wrench to remove the tools grease cap, instructions, and a rubber piece which I couldn't figure out what it was for.The instructions are okay however it talks about a trigger lock that the tool just doesn't have and there is no mention off what the round rubber disk is for.Overall I really like this and feel it will excel in drilling holes in concrete while also performing well chiseling concrete and aid in digging holes in my soil. Time will tell how it holds up but given how well built and durable it seems, I think I will likely get a lifetime out of it. If however it fails prematurely, I will update this review.

I am building a dream shop and need to drill a bunch of anchors into a concrete pad. I thought this would be a step up from the 1" drill I had, and wow is it ever. This has a long cord and amazing torque. It comes in a nice case with some bits, which I have not really tested, but look okay. I am mostly impressed with the quality of this tool. I do not normally go with any brand other than DeWalt because the quality has always been very good over the years. but I would certainly recommend this drill to anyone who needs some major torque.
