The ProTapes Pro Gaff gray gaffer's tape is 11 mil thick, 2" wide, and 55 yd. long, and is made from matte cloth with a rubber adhesive to conform to irregular surfaces and remove cleanly without residue from most surfaces. The tape, also known as gaffer or gaffers' tape, is printable and suitable for a range of applications including wire and equipment labeling as well as temporary cable hold down and sealing. It resists abrasion and can be torn by hand. The tape can be used outdoors and withstands temperatures from 50 to 200 degrees F. Tensile strength is 45 lb. per inch.

I use a lot of tape, various types, and I've experimented with different brands of gaffer tape over the years. Overall I've found that Pro Gaff is the best brand. I just wish that the white wasn't so much more expensive than the black (I use both colors); I don't understand why that is.Be aware that, although there are many advantages to using gaffer tape for various things, and its adhesive strength is pretty good… its adhesive isn't as strong, or as durable for outdoor use, as Gorilla Tape. On the other hand, gaffer tape is more flexible, has a nice matte finish, is easier to tear (you can tear it in straight lines with your hands, horizontal or vertical, rarely need to cut it first) -- and the biggest advantage of gaffer tape: unless you leave it on for very long time, it's relatively easy to remove without leaving a mess of sticky gunk behind (unlike Gorilla Tape and other types).

Used these to hang Halloween decor at a preschool and it left no residue. I’ve also used it to protect the bottom of my luggage so it doesn’t get too dirty when lugging around the street or coming down the airport luggage chutes. Also used it to mark my luggage to easily identify it. There’s gotta be a millions uses for this. Again, comes off clean. Going to buy more colors.

Packaging tape, Duct tape, Electrical tape. These are everyday words. Until you have tried Gaffer's tape, you don't realize what you have been missing. In my opinion it holds better than Duct tape. It doesn't melt like Electrical Tape, and it is easier to manage than Packaging tape. The tape is made with cloth which gives it better handling characteristics and the adhesive is both strong and removes cleanly. It is equally useful to hold something up for a few minutes or a few years. I use it to tape down fabric while I cut it, along with a dozen other uses. I have been through several rolls from this manufacturer and have been pleased with the tape's performance.

Better than duck tape. Very good adhesion, holds, but also easy to remove without leaving glue behind.

This is a great all purpose tape, actually sticks to all types of surfaces as it states. I will continue to purchase as needed. I highly recommend.

Was recommended to me by packing box store owner in Atlanta. Was skeptical because it is a bit pricey, but after using I am sold on this tape. Will never be without it, as long as it is available for purchase, and I rave about it to all my friends who need a product that really sticks, works on wood, is easily removeable, and doesn't leave a sticky residue. Love it!!
