I love the weight, grip and splitting capabilities. Best used with logs place in a tire or you'll be chasing them down. Definitely need to sharpen upon receipt

I bought this axe for some light work chopping kindling every so often and it worked amazing when I first got it an I had it for about 3 months now used it about 5 times and something went flying out of the head and it was wood from the handle I thought it was no big deal so I kept using it and after 2 more pieces the head started to fall off the last picture is of the material I was chopping very thin and dry so easy to go thru I understand there is some wear involved but after so little use I wouldn’t expect it so soon other then that the handle is very nice comfortable to hold the blade retains a nice edge the only reason I give it one star is because of the top I own several other of there products and they work absolutely amazing this is the first time I had a problem with it so if you do buy it just be careful of that and wear head and eye protection
