Honestly, how do you rate a PCV valve. Out of the box, it looked in good condition, the o-ring was intact and the actual bearing that makes the valve work, was in operating condition. It wasn't damaged in any way and it was a direct fit for my vehicle. Ease of installation will depend on your tech skills. I installed mine in an 04' Mazda Tribute 3.0 AWD. You have to remove the upper and lower intake manifolds with the fuel rail, which means disconnecting the fuel line, and a few other components. It's not a difficult job, but if you are a layman, taking this to your mechanic is going to cost you a few hundred bucks, because of the valve's location.

This does not fit a 2008 Mazda 6 3.0L. The stock hose has a snap ring fitting and would have to be replaced with vacuum line and hose clamps for a retrofit.
