These recoil cords have VERY cheap plastic that has already fail me in a weeks time.

This is a very short cord. It will work on an application where the pull handle rests on the starter housing. It will not effectively work on something where the pull handle is further away from the engine, like a lawn mower :/

Personally I would have liked the solid plastic handles the rubber is a little soft but does the job.

My friend has used this pull start accessory before and said it's just as good as the original, and recommend it to me. Its size and hole positions are fully compatible with the original, making installation very convenient. Just screw in three screws, and then good to go. The pull cord is indeed thicker and longer, providing an excellent overall user experience. It also comes with an extra pull cord replacement, very good deal.
