We’ve had this set up in our back yard for a couple of years. In that time I’ve had to replace the spring with something a little more durable. Then this morning we saw the dog in the front yard making a beeline for the busy road we live on. Fortunately we were able to get a hold of him. Looks like the plastic cover wore through and the cable rusted through.

Put this up between two trees approximately 94 feet apart. Our 62 lb dog runs on it daily and we haven't had any trouble with it. Easy to install. One small thing is the picture shows a ring to connect at the end opposite of the spring end, and that wasn't included so don't know if the picture is wrong or if it was missing. Not a big deal, I just made a loop out of the cable to connect with the cable lock. Instructions say hang between 7-8 feet high, I installed exactly 7 feet to provide extra length on the leader leash. Although I have it as tight as I could get it, there is a little droop in the middle. If I had to do over would probably hang it 7 1/2 feet high to ensure extra clearance. One other thing I did to pull it tighter is after it was up, I went back to each end and slid a long screwdriver through hooks and tightened screws into tree even more which helped. Seems to be decent quality, so far so good.

Good system, easy to install, and cost effective. My only complaint/issue is the trolley system. It does roll smooth and is one of the better operating ones our there. HOWEVER, the pin going through the trolley wheel is garbage. Within 2 weeks it busted and fell out. Easy enough to fix with a simple machine screw and nut but it would be much better if the pulley wheel had a bearing so as to reduce wear and breakage of the pin.

We have a high energy doodle that needed a safe place to run when we aren’t able to give him our full attention. This run has been perfect and has held up to his large size and energy.

We wanted something to let our old boy come outside and run around or relax. It is a little hard to pull it taut, we tied one end around the hitch on our tractor lol. The dog loves it and it has given him lots of freedom. The leash part is 10ft, the only regret is that I wish we would have put one end a little higher so he didn't get tangled so much, other than that we love it.

Awesome product. We've got a 75lb very hyper and strong dog. The box was not missing any parts and its very easy to assemble. I have a wood exterior house which I installed one end into and screwed the other end into a tree in the yard. The cables are sturdy and of great quality. One thing I would've done differently and still need to do, is set the cable higher than you would expect. Because of the distance it stretches across the yard and the weight of the cable, it does droop or sag a bit. Because there's a 10ft cable that attaches to the cable and the dogs collar, it sort of drags a bit on the ground and can get in his way when running. I'd rather have the cable more taught and lead him above him. Anyway, the dog absolutely loves it and we love it because to let him out in the non-fenced in yard in the winter means we can hook him right at the door without having to go outside.

Several other reviews state that the pulley gets stuck immediately or soon after installation. Well, this happened to me but I figured out it was due to improper installation. The instructions DON'T specify this (unfortunately) but if you run the cable through the top opening of the pulley, it will definitely get stuck. So, run the cable through the lower opening of the pulley (the side the dog leash attaches to) and it works smoothly. We've had ours up for a couple of weeks now and there have been no problems.Installing the cable takes two people - one to pull the cable tight and the other to tighten the clamp. The construction of the cable and hardware is solid - very durable. The seller of this product is getting bad reviews because they didn't take the time to write clearer instructions - communication is everything....Other than the poorly written installation instructions, this is a great product that I highly recommend.

I will be looking into a refund most likely or will have to dramatically alter this product to make it usable.I had read many reviews of different products and saw some concerning reviews regarding the pulley getting locked up, but it also had a majority positive reviews. Some of the other products I looked at were 100 dollars and had similar negative reviews so I thought I'd take a chance on the cheaper one rather than waste more money.Big mistake. This product does not work and I contend that the positive reviews either never installed this product or were astroturfed and generated by employees.I installed the product between two trees and went to move the pulley to the other tree to gauge where I wanted the stop. YANK. I tried to work the pulley by hand along the line. It only moves when held directly down and gently moved along the line.In other words it only works (slightly) in a way that no dog will ever use the run. If tilts at all, as a dog would cause it to do) or moves fast at all it completely binds up.Literally the product does not work. This is not a kink or a bad cable, I move the pulley around and at any point on the line it binds up when moved as a dog would. I tried hooking the dog up to make sure, and yep, YANK, won't move.It is actually infuriating that they would even sell this product which fails to work out of the box.
