This works just like the original blade before it got dull. Happy to have my favorite scraper working well again!

I bought a very old and abandoned house and have removed all the old paint on the verandah using just one half of one blade. Magic. 🤩

This is, literally, a tiny, disposable, relatively fragile metal blade for a paint scraper. It will last weeks if you're really lucky (hit a hidden nail too hard or too fast and it's all over). But it isn't even intended to. Imagine a disposable razor blade sold in a single pack for $7. This is way too expensive for what it is and affordable alternatives seem non-existent.

Original blade worked well for several years (occasional use) and I was worried when I saw the negative comments. I noticed Purdue responded to the negative reviews so I took a chance and ordered this. It worked flawlessly.I wonder if the broken blades are due to not cleaning the blade seat prior to putting the new blade in.

I love these carbide scrapers. I use them to scrape paint off of steel. Much faster to strip paint then any grinder wheel or brush I've ever used.

These things joined up with the holder are an amazing apparatus. I started using this scraper to refinish exterior hardwood doors and trellis made out of Ipa wood. This peels the old finish off like ribbions. But is easy to get into all the little corners. These save me on sanding paper. The initial cost seem more but in the long run it is a more better price. These can bring wood that looks painted black and blistering back to visual grain in a fraction of the time it take to sand it.

This is the only blade I'll use when scraping paint on my house. A little more expensive but worth it!

I am trying to learn to make longbows from oak boards and these scrapers are a great way to remove a little wood at a time during the tillering process. They make clean scrapes and remove a thin ribbon of wood at a time. Faster than sand paper and more controlled than a belt sander or my plane.

Of all the hand scrapers I've used for scraping paint, this one is the toughest and longest lasting. I've repainted several old houses at this point, and found this scraper to be the sharpest and most durable. Simple metal just doesn't stand up to old paint, where as these are made from a very hard metal.Just for the record, I've only broken one of these (on a nail). Otherwise, they've always lasted.I'm able to scrape an estimated 100-200 square feet on my old house before replacing the blade. I mean, it's hard work -- but this blade dulls the slowest of any I've used.
