Love the package; it is very minimalist, and it seems to be a good quality

Not much shielding wire inside. Hard to make a secure connection with the no sleeve design connector .

First of all I'm no beginner when it comes to cables. I solder my own instrument cables and I've made solderless cables using George L plugs and G&H (emerson) plugs. I've also used a wide array of off the shelf cables. I have NEVER experienced a cable failure rate like these. Come to think of it, I don't think any cable I've made has ever failed me at all. I've also never noticed a huge difference in tone from brand to brand, maybe a little bit over really long runs but never at patch cable lengths.I bought these because I needed a few more patch cables and I thought I'd save a few bucks. Now I'm throwing them all out because I can't trust them. This is the first time that I've had cables that ostensibly work (continuity from a multi-meter) but have an obvious impact on the sound. Multiple of these cables have caused a sharp drop in volume which is immediately remedied by swapping with a cable from a different brand. When making these, though they have a similar design to Georgle L and G&H--with a center pin that connects to the cable core--they were much harder to assemble properly because the wire is not a snug fit in the plug and it's easy to miss the core with the pin. The plugs are also poorly made and one time, when removing a cable, from the plug, it pulled the pin out with it.Everything about these cables just screams low quality, cut corners and poor planning. I've gone back to best-tronics to buy new G&H Connectors to replace these, I just wish I hadn't wasted my money here.

Even if you manage to ever get a cable put together that works, don't worry, it will not be working for long. Especially if you, you know like pick up your pedalboard and move it somewhere, like to a show maybe.Poor design. Very very difficult to "build" and impossible to re-build once they fail. And they will.
