We use these mic stands 3-4 times a week and I can see they are not going to hold up. The knobs to tighten them get harder and harder to tighten, and the weight of the mic makes them fall over. Find better quality...good luck.

Having played full time in a touring club band for years, I have used many different microphone stands. Retired from full time music some time ago, wife and I do still enjoy the occasional "band room" night, where we have friends over and crank up the old PA and drums and sing to our favorites. These stands come in an impressive nylon bag, well thought out with a separate flap compartment inside to keep the two stands from banging and scratching each other up while traveling. On second thought, not sure how they could scratch each other, as nearly the only metal pieces in the stands are the tubes. The tripod base piece and nearly all other components, including the tensioning knobs are a lightweight plastic. The mic clips themselves are solid and flex enough to hold even a large diameter wireless mic. The little plastic mic cable holders are a nice touch, but we will not be using them. The stands assemble in moments and are simple to adjust, unfortunately the plastic tripod base causes the entire stand to "flex" side to side with the lightest of touch, very wobbly. Am afraid to tighten the tripod base knob much tighter as experience has taught me, something is going to give...permanently, then it will be on the workbench being rebuilt. A metal tripod base would make all the difference, but then the price would change. The price point of these two stands is exactly aligned with what you get. These are basically extremely light duty stands, that will work well in a non-professional setting, or one where they absolutely do not need to be touched and are setting on a solid, non-carpeted flat surface. Please do not purchase this with the intention of holding a microphone that costs more than these stands, as these stands WILL fall over at some point, and Murphy's Law dictates it will fall in the manner that your microphone business end directly impacts the ground. For casual Karaoke night these will be fine, I fully expect them to be accidentally knocked over at some point, but the inexpensive wireless mics we are using are easily replaced should the impact be fatal for the microphone.Overall, a good value for what you get, just be aware these are not rock-solid stable stands. They will need to be treated gently and should NOT be used to support a microphone that costs more than the stand itself.

I needed two sturdy, high quality mic stands for a decent price, and that's exactly what I got with the Pyle Universal Adjustable Tripod Microphone Stands. I especially like the option to use as a straight up stand and/or with a hinged arm. Lightweight, easy to maneuver, perfect for my use. And they even came with a solid, sturdy carrying bag.

I’ve bought several tripods over the years, always under $20. When I saw a set of two stands for under $40, WITH THE PYLE NAME ON IT, I thought to myself “How can Pyle sell tripods for the same price as competitors non-name brands?” So, I bought the set expecting the same flimsy structure as the tripods I bought in the past, I was wrong and should have trusted more in the Pyle name! Not only are these tripods made of high quality metal and very sturdy, but the double-set came with a carrying bag, FOUR mike holders, TWO 5/8” adaptors, and two booms! Having the boom enables the tripod to hold two microphones at once; one on the upright stand and one on the boom.I’m very pleased with this Pyle set of two tripods.

Great value for solid mic stands. Nothing super professional but did the job creating a podcast recording studio in my home. Sturdy and easily adjustable.

We bought 4 of these stands for my church (2 per pack). They come with a carry bag which is cheaply made zipper broke on day one. The stands are however quite good (for the price). These are lighter than most other stands out there and that's exactly what we wanted since we are having to move up and down the stairs every Sunday. When folded up they are quite compact and fit nicely with two speaker stands in a bag. I take good care packing and unpacking our equipment so these will last long it seems. The clips that came with the stands are also good quality. Fit Shure SM 58s nicely. This stand didn't work too well when I tried using for drums overhead (balance issue), for singers these are perfect.
