I used this bottle-brush to seal grout on both a bathroom floor and a kitchen backsplash. It was worth it to not have to constantly reload the brush or sponge with sealer—just squeeze the bottle. Also, it made the job much easier because I didn’t need to clean the brush between applications (since the cap kept the brush formed and sealed.)This brush-bottle worked better on the floor than the backsplash. I needed to tilt the bottom of the bottle upward for the sealer to flow out through the brush. This was a natural position for the bottle when I was sealing the grout on the bathroom floor. When I was sealing the backsplash, it was impossible to tilt the bottom of the bottle higher than the brush when I was close to the upper cabinet. To load the brush with sealer, I had to load it like I would just a regular brush (put the sealer in a bowl, dip the brush in, seal about an inch or grout, repeat!— definitely not as easy as the floor.) This second technique really destroyed the brush on the bottle.I am glad I finished sealing the grout on the bathroom floor before I finished the kitchen backsplash, because I had to pitch the destroyed bottle-brush when the backsplash was done.I would still purchase another one of these if I had more grout to seal. The bottle-brush worked great on the backsplash grout that was closer to the countertop than it was to the hanging wall cabinets.
