Tri Clamp Dimensions & Sizing Guide
- Tri Clamp is the common name for sanitary fittings with a clamp end ferrule.
- Tri Clamp size is determined by the OD (outside diameter) of the tubing, not the diameter of the ferrule flange.
- For smaller OD tubing (1/2" & 3/4") and (1" & 1.5"), the Tri Clamp ferrules sizes are combined for each pair.
- Compatible sizes can be joined directly, but different OD tubes will affect flow; also always use the larger gasket size.
- Please double check everything to avoid errors in ordering and assembly.

They looked good on the internet, and they are as good as they looked. They are sturdy, but what I appreciate is that the screw threads are cleanly cut, making for smooth tightening (not all the competitors are this good).

There are much lighter and smaller than any others I’ve used and we must have 100. The hinge feels loose and the steel is very thin. I’d be worried using these under any sort of pressure or with heavy spool. Strangely enough, the threading on the screw is some of the best I’ve ever seen. Overall, I’d look for something sturdier.
