These are really nice quality soup spoons. Even though I saw the dimensions of them, once I received them, I was a bit taken back with how big they actually are. I wouldn’t consider these average soup spoons as they are much larger than that and are more like a cross between a soup spoon and a mini serving|ladle spoon. To note though these are meant to be Chinese/Japanese style soup spoons. I personally love eating with larger spoons so these are perfect for me. Since they are on the larger end though I have used them not only for soup spoons but also for things such as gravy, dressing, serving rice, and as well as all kinds of things.The design of these are elegantly done as the handle has a lovely curve to it. There is even a hole in the handle which is great for hanging them should you choose. The quality is what I love about these the most. They are not only thick and solid ceramic/porcelain, but they also are glazed in a glossy white finish. The edges are sealed/glazed really well so I’ve had no issue with rough edges when eating.These are lovely spoons and I am absolutely happy with them.

I have chinese soup spoons at home and was hoping to get more. These are much bigger than the traditional ones that I have, and it does not have a flat bottom. My biggest issue with these is that the rims of the spoons are rough. It's the part that goes into your mouth, and the rims should be smooth. I'm hesitant to use these with my kids.

I love these spoons for soup dumplings. I can never eat a soup dumpling in one bite and always seem to make a mess when the soup inside the dumpling goes everywhere. In the past I've had to use a serving spoon for these dumplings which is not as deep as these spoons. These can hold the liquid making is so much more enjoyable to use. I love using these for regular soups as well. They are so comfortable to hold. Another feature that I always check whenever I get anything ceramic -- I always run my hands over the whole thing to check for rough edges. These are so super smooth. The only roughness I feel is on the hole that is drilled through each spoon near the top end. I'm not sure how these would be hung up for storage since that hole is sort of small about 3/16 in diameter. I don't have anything I can hook them onto like that so these will be stored in the utensil drawer.

These are modern looking white ceramic Chinese soup spoons with a graceful hook design at the end, which keeps the spoon from sliding into your soup. The spoons are short, however, so the hook only works if you are using smaller soup bowls, like a rice bowl size. I am going to use it as a serving spoon for sauces in a smaller bowl so like the shorter size for that purpose. It is also good to keep one in a sugar container for adding sugar when cooking because it is larger and deeper then most spoons, and the short length makes it an easier fit in a sugar container.

Was looking for some good ceramic soup spoons so wanted to try these ones as they were the perfect count (8) for us. I liked the fact that these were carefully packed so I had not issues in the overall quality of the spoon.This soup spoon has a rather different feel given the end is a bit curved so takes getting used to the new grip. For little kids these may be a bit on the big side so we will be looking for some smaller soup spoons ones as well.For adults this is the perfect size and easy to use. Overall these are good quality but I would not call them very sturdy due to the fragile nature of the material used.
