I mean it came out okay but I suspect I could've done better without.

LOVE LOVE LOVE....my Contractor was able to get the perfect slope of mortar for the floor tiles to sit on. I have NO areas where water accumulates. Every drop goes down the drain which is what I need for my guest bathroom. Installed immediately it was received and mortared, so no photos.... sorry.

Great product albeit very expensive plastic. If your shower is 30 x 60the standard kit of 6 "sticks" will not be enough. Do the math. If you drain is squareyou will need to purchase the universal ring available here on Amazon. For a 30 x 60 inch shower you will need 10 "sticks" 1 to 1 3/4. and 3 of the 1 3/4 to 2 1/2Recommend.

If you are sand packing a shower floor this is the best way to do it. Provides permanent guide to get the proper slope to the drain. I used it on a 4 x 5 walk-in shower floor and it was perfect!

I'd like to start with the fact that I am in no way a professional with tile work, bathroom floor making, or renovation. I did however have a bathroom plumbing failure which called for a complete tear out and remodel. This absolutely helped me ensure my final deck mud layer was near perfect. I should have bought the pre pitch kit beforehand, however I didn't know it existed and I was miserable pouring/shaping the pre pitch. I had also bought the universal centering ring due to my drain being square however I don't think I needed it as it all seemed to work together well. Time will tell, I guess. You can see in the added photos the final result. It isn't perfect, however I am pretty sure that is due to my skill or lack thereof. I am thoroughly pleased with how it turned out, and would gladly buy again!

I purchased this product and received it in a box. The box was somewhat damaged but I contacted the seller and asked to return the item and was told I would incur a 20% restocking fee. That was not a problem but dummy me should have just kept the thing and did what the seller did - throw it in the trash. I returned it at a cost of $18. Got a phone call from the seller who has pretty bad english but i could understand him. He basically said that he threw the package in the trash. Ok. but then he proceeded to tell me that he couldn't resell the item cause it was trash. Now, the only thing I did was take the contents out of the package, lay them out to see if it would work and put the contents back into the package. The only thing missing were the two staples that i removed from the top of the package. All the contents were in the package - they may not have been in the same sequence/order of how they came out and i even included the rubberband that was placed around the package. So the only thing he had to do was take the contents out, reorder them just like they came from the Mark E Industries, restaple the paper label back on top and there you have a perfectly good package. But no, I received a call that basically said it had to be in resellable order. Should I have known to take a picture of how the layout of the contents were in the package I would have. So not only did I it cost me $39 to buy it but then another $18 to ship it back and not even refund for the frustration I went through to get it. Don't get me wrong, the product was fine, I just feel that i was taken to the cleaners on this for $57 dollars. Lesson be learned - make sure you buy the right one from this guy or you'll lose no matter what if you return due to the product not being in prestine condition ( and mine was other than how it was put back in the plastic wrap and two missing staples).

I put together a PERFECT shower pan in only three days from start to finish with the Pre-pitch and Quick-pitch system. I began my shower project by purchasing a Redi-Tile pan, which was a complete nightmare and disaster (see further comments about this below if you are considering). The Pre-pitch easily installed over my hardi-backer board base with screws. I used Quickrete Sand/Topping mix, which is a ready use portland cement and sand mixture to fill the form. It was so simple to use! The most difficult step was securing the 40 mil mat, but even that was not that hard. Once you have the mat down and secure, use the Quick-Pitch system, which is essentially the same as the Pre-Pitch for the final step. I would like to mention that the Kohler drain I bought was not perfectly compatible with the Quick pitch system because of the bulbous design of of the top. I was not able to use the center ring (I just used silicone sealant to glue the sticks to the mat). Great product, reasonable price, highly recommended!I thought that the Redi-Tile product would be a much simpler alternative to pouring my own pan, and boy was I wrong. Long story short, I spent $600 on a piece of junk. I decided to scrap the Redi-Tile pan and start over after countless attempts at seating the pan. No matter what I tried, it would always flex. DO NOT BUY TILE REDI PRODUCTS!
