As much as I hate buying products that result in a lot paper waste, these wipes really came in handy during our trip to St. John. Also, one wipe usually covered both me and my husband so we didn't even use the whole pack. I've used Buzz Away at home and it really does keep the bugs away.

These little packets are on par with Avon Skin so Soft for bug repellants. I bought these for an island hopping trip with known mosquito infestations. Just a wipe down of arms, legs, neck and ears, and I was bite free the entire trip. The little towelettes are easy for traveling because you can put them in a day bag without having to drag a whole bottle around. These help with little touch-ups, too, if you lathered up at the beginning of the day. Certainly for a hiking day trip it would be worth it. Or if mosquitoes tend to single you out of a crowd, have one in your purse for emergencies.

I've used Buzz Away for several years, and it's been very effective against mosquitoes - with one exception. It has worked well in the northeast, southeast, midwest, and California. But in the Olympic Mountains in Washington, it did no good at all. Due to its remoteness, the Olympic Peninsula is known for flora and fauna that have followed different evolutionary paths from those on the rest of the mainland, and it seems that the mosquito population is no exception. At least, that's the only explanation I can come up with for why that particular brand of mosquito is not deterred at all by Buzz Away. So if you're planning to be outdoors, stock up on this stuff - it's all you'll need. Unless you're going to the Olympics.

I really like the way this smells and it is not greasy but the wipes do not keep those little pain in butt bugs away from my face,I might try the spray version and see if that works better.
