This clearly states it is "For use on Mercury 8-9.9hp 4-stroke outboards (s/n: 0R042475 and above) and 20hp 4-stroke outboards (s/n: 0R235168 and above)" but it is too big for the shaft. I have a 9.9 4-stroke with a serial number above the 0R042475. Unfortunately, I opened the bag before I figured out it wouldn't fit and now I can't return it. Make sure you check the ID before you open the bag.

This impeller worked better that the last one I put in. I 've heard some complaints that it don't fit their motor...........This is for the BIg Foot Mercury motor

The part you sent that we ordered was exactly what we wanted but it was to large please help we can not use our boat. The part is really what we need how can we get in tough with someone about a different size?
