Dream Orient's natural fibers are carded crosslapped and finely needlepunched to bring you the most desirable qualities of softness strength warmth and breathability. The elegant silky soft drape makes Dream Orient a batting beyond compare! Machine wash and dry with cool water/cool dryer - shrinkage approximately 3%. You can stitch up to 8'' apart. Rayon is a velvety softand absorbent fiber. Rayon is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Silk - the strongest natural fiber in existence has always stood for quality and elegance. Dream Orient contains high quality Tussah 'Peace' silk which is stronger and more resilient than white silk. Botanic Tencel - is made from eucalyptus wood pulp derived from sustainable tree farms. Tenciel is exceptionally strong resilient and resistant to wrinkles yet so soft it is often referred to as imitation silk. Cotton - is a natural fully renewable fiber that is soft breathable and a traditional fiber used throughout generations. Dream Orient uses only the high grade cleaned upland USA cotton for durability and quality for the most discriminating quilters. The correct fiber label percentage for Quilters Dream Blend Select Batting is a blend of 50% rayon, 20% silk, 20% cotton, and 10% Tencel. This is the only batting i buy. Naturally antibacterial and anti allergenic. Have used it for years. Quick delivery. I am pleased.

I converted to all wool batting about 8 years ago but saw this and thought I'd give it a try as the quilt was a gift for someone in a more humid climate. The drape on this quilt is absolutely wonderful. I obviously did not use the quilt but had it draped over my lap to do the finishing touches on the binding. It was warm-not as warm as wool!-but warm enough for all but the coldest nights I think! If I can find this in the correct sizes, I will most likely use this again. Also, read the reviews closely! The one really poor review had nothing to do with the quality but was due to a size issue.

I’m VERY happy I bought this batting. I rely on Quilters Dream for consistent top-notch, high-quality batting and am never disappointed so I had no worries trying this batting for the first time.The best way I can describe this batting is to equate the finished product to a “lightweight, packable, insulated jacket.” I can’t wait to use it in a quilt coat. It’s super-soft and super-thin compared to other batting yet it feels substantial. The “drape,” mentioned in all professional reviews, is something you have to see/feel to believe and since I’m sewing with Tana Lawn, I am especially excited about this characteristic!

This batting is super soft and makes the quilt drape beautifully. It is light and my needle had no trouble even when I doubled the layer of batting. It is my favorite!

The drape and flexibility of this when compared to a cotton batting is remarkable. Easy to work with and the finished product is so much nicer.

This is my favorite batting for quilting. It is a nice thickness for quilts that you can sleep under without being too hot. It quilts pretty clean and holds up nicely when you wash it.
