It is made of good metal. Solid made Stainless steel, very nice to look at as an accent light in my deck table and as a heater too. Very nice.

I like the way it is built and the safety aspects of it. won't tip over and leak proof seal is a plus) I will be using it to singe silk wraps on bamboo fly rods

I am using this product as a heater in my small camper. I have it totally enclosed burning outside air then going through a heat exchanger with a small circulating fan on the exterior. Only drawback is that 400 ml of fuel last about four hours. So I bought 2 to make it easier to change out if I needed to.

This is a tightly sealed, rustproof, alcohol lamp with snuffer. It gives a very large flame; and despite not using it for extended periods, it does not evaporate off unused fuel. This alcohol burner will not light, or stay lit. I have tried several times with denatured alcohol, and tried adjusting the wick in several positions with no luck. Skip this one and buy a glass one with the adjustable wick.

Works very well but my alcohol is a little to pure I think and it makes a rather large pumping flame

This product will not stay lit! Tried having the wick out different lengths … still no go. It will light and stay lit for a second or two then goes out. Plenty of alcohol on the wick and the base is completely filled.Update: Tried a different brand of isopropyl alcohol. Now it works just fine. Changed my rating to 5 stars.

It's a very well made little candle, metalwork is strong (not thin and flimsy) and the wick seems to be very thick and supposedly lasts a long time. I would expect something like this to cost more. Very good deal.

The wick is too short to reach the alcohol level unless completely full. So it runs dry and starts procuring more smoke as the wick burns.

The burner needs to have the cotton (the wick) wet in order to work properly, over time the flame increases it's size, so you don't need to pull it out, unless you use it to cook. It's a very good burner and very big as well, the alcohol won't leak and it's easy to unscrew to refill.
