RAC-J300S Detachable Arcade Joystick Shaft features two-piece shaft design. It employs a quick coupling mechanism which make it super easy to attach and detach joystick shaft.
The top part of the shaft is equipped with a spring-loaded housing. To attach, pull up the housing with your thumb and forefingers, align it with the bottom piece, then release the housing. To detach, simply pull up the spring-loaded housing and pull off.
By replacing the shaft of the existing Joystick with RAC-J300S Detachable Arcade Joystick Shaft, players will be able to enjoy the convenience of detaching the protruding joystick shaft for easier transportation and storage.
Compatible: Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT and compatible arcade joysticks
Only Joystick Shaft, not including joystick.
Steps：
1. Remove the retaining ring on the SAWAN JLF-TP-8YT Joystick shaft.
2. Remove the SANWAN joystick shaft.
3. Insert the RAC-J300S Detachable Arcade Joystick Shaft into the joystick body.
4. Insert the retaining ring into the groove of the Joystick shaft.
5. Detach the top piece of the joystick by pulling up the housing with your thumb and forefingers.
6. Install the balltop to the joystick using the hex key.
7. Pull up the housing again and rest the top piece on the bottom piece, then release the housing.

I installed this on the 8bitdo arcade stick and it works great. Only thing is the retention clip that comes with 8bit do seems to fit a smaller area because with this rod, the clip is stretched out more and needed pliers to close enough around it. It could just be appearances though because it seems flush with the black rubber stem piece at the bottom. Either way, installation wasn't too difficult and its made of solid metal so it feels great. Huge benefit to being able to store and travel with the arcade stick. Imo this is a mandatory mod for arcade sticks.

Works great. The quick release is very convenient. Allows my travel stick to fit in a messenger bag easily with no bulk from the stick.
