It is perfect for kayaks where anglers want to keep their reels elevated and clear of waves and splash. With the dropdown gimbal, you can either keep your reel high and dry, or slot the reel into the end of the tube. This kit comes with the RAILBLAZA MiniPort and all necessary hardware, so it is track ready right out of the package. Will also fit any of the other RAILBLAZA StarPort bases.

Great value for the money. Rod holder fits my Fenwick poles no problem. Functionality of the H rail design works great on my Hobie Outback.

The rod holder is nice. Really easy to install. It fits my rail system on my Lifetime Stealth Kayak. But As I said before. I was really hoping this would automatically make me a better fisherman.

I lost my favorite reel that I've had for 15 years because of this cheap junk rod holder. The rod holder popped off of my track while I was sitting stationary and fell into the ocean. I had the base very tight on the rail, locked, and it did not stay secured. I did not bump into the holder and there was no pulling on the rod, it just fell off into the deep blue. Also, the base does not want to stay in one position and the lock can be tricky to lock the holder to the base. This was not the problem I had though. the base that is supposed to connect the holder to the railing is very poorly designed and did not stay in my Hobie Kayak rail. I had everything set up very tight and how it is supposed to be used. This thing is pure junk that has cost me a lot of money and an irreplaceable piece of fishing equipment.
