This is an ok kit. It comes with a hole saw but it is not really good quality and might damage the downspout. I like that you can preserve the downspout and that you can divert the water down it when you need to. But the inside diverter part wouldn't work very well for larger size downspout

I typically find written instructions unclear, this is no different. However, it's quite intuitive and easy! I haven't seen it in a heavy rain yet, but the install was really straightforward and it looks decent. No complaints yet!

I was finally able to get this set up with some warming temps, but I bypassed the barrel after testing since we still are getting freezing temps. Set up was relatively painless and this does come with just about everything you need (except the barrel, or course). The main thing I like about this kit is that you don't need to disassemble your downspout and make significant mods for it. You cut a hole in the larger size of the gutter, so for me this was the front side, then slip the rubber water flow catch inside, screw the fitting down and the rest is just simply assembly. The supplied hole saw works, but it's really not made for metal. Get your drill going fast to avoid tearing up the downspout. The other thing I really like is the shutoff. You can rotate the stopper to either flow into the barrel or prevent water flow, and if your barrel doesn't have an overflow on the top of the barrel, it will just back up and flow down the gutter. This allowed me to just shut off the flow for the winter without having to disconnect the barrel. It's very convenient. Note, I would only recommend this for 2x3 downspouts. If you have 4x3, this won't make good contact with the inside of the downspout and you will miss a lot of water. I appreciate the clamps are have hand-twist wings instead of having to use a wrench. Good, inexpensive kit with everything you need.

inexpensive set up that has everything except the barrel. I found this easy to install by myself. Haven't had a chance to really use it though a season yet to see it's full performance. It does seem better than another set I bought and threw away.

This is great because it comes with everything that you need. I am using this to transfer the water from the rain gutter to the rain barrel. I did not need all the parts, but all the parts that I did need were included.

I haven't taken detailed measurements on this rainwater collection system versus the more typical kind that I already have installed, but I can describe their performance in general. This kit is very easy to install because you drill a hole in your drainpipe, then insert components and screw them altogether. Others require you to saw your drainpipe in half +/- take out a section, then insert the diverter section in this space, then connecting other hoses. My impression is that you get somewhat less water from this system than from a more conventional system, but I'm not after maximum efficiency here, just looking to more directly capture and use some rainwater. In my opinion, the ease of installation makes up for less yield. I am a bit concerned about the sturdiness of the collection hose, but it can be replaced fairly easily if necessary.I recommend this system and plan to use it on my barn and tractor shed downspouts because it is simple to install.

It comes with everything needed to start a rainwater collection system. It has a nice quality and is easy to set up and use.We have lots of debris on the roof from trees and the system has problems filter all out.

Nice complete kit, but the screws that hold the collector to the downspout are too small. Had to go a bit larger.
