I live in the desert when water is precious. It does rain in the desert so why not capture the water for later use? This is perfect. I catch the water in buckets and then pour into this tank. I will be doing some gutter/spout work soon so I can catch more water. It was easy to setup but the instructions really are poor. I don't want to deduct a star because the setup is pretty intuitive.

These are not quite as easy to assemble but they're great for catching runoff from my roof. Our water has to be filtered due to alkaline soil so it's been nearly impossible to grow a garden. These tanks hold up to 50 gallons each and I use the rainwater for all my potted plants. I'm thinking of adding more to capture all the runoff!

This is a great rain barrel with all the bells and whistles except that the spigot has a very slow flow. Takes about 5-10min to fill up my gallon watering can. Also the attachment hose that came with it did not fit on the connector piece. I don't anticipate needing that feature so I didn't bother returning. But I if you need a hose attachment that works, I recommend trying that connection before putting the time and effort into assembling the whole thing like I did.
