For me this is an excellent - no frills sling that I put on my Marlin 1892 .357 lever action. It is a hair over 7/8" wide. The color is fantastic and it evokes refined old-school rugged with the dark deep color and accent stitching.I do not plan to traipse all over God's creation with it - so I like the narrow unobtrusive style that does not interfere with the lever action.I am 6'1 and I set it at the shortest length. There would be plenty of length to add if I so chose.

Disclaimer: I will never use this sling to throw over my shoulder and carry the gun. It's used to add stability while taking unsupported shots.I didn't expect this sling to be this high quality. There is plenty of adjustment within the sling to get it exactly where I like it.The material is thick but flexible and very well made. I left it outside in 9 degree Fahrenheit for several hours and it was still flexible. I will be ordering several more.

All I wanted was a simple sling & thats what I got good quality leather simple attachment. Thick enough to be the last one I'll buy for my .308 & good enough quality to buy for my next one too

Good basic sling. Not a high-end heavy leather sling, but a decent simple sling. Looks nice, seems to be well made, and looks great on my Henry lever gun.If you are expecting a work of art or the finest quality sling, this isn’t it. If you want a decent antique style sling that doesn't break the bank, it's a good choice.I like mine and would recommend it for the price.
