connection method:
1.turn on you ps4
insert the bluetooth dongle into one of the usb ports .
2.the lED indicator on the dongle flashes slowly first,then press the dongle button 2 seconds the LED indicator flashes quickly,this signals pairing mode.turn on you bluetooth headphone and turn it to pairing mode. the bluetooth dongle and your bluetooth headphone will automatically pair the LED indictor of the dongle will turn blue when connecting successfully.and the bluetooth dongle will automatically connect to the blutooth headphone at next time
3.insert the microphone into the earphone jack of ps4 contyoller .
4.move to the ps4 user interface/home screen.
5.select menu devices.
6.select audio devices .
7.set input device to headset connected to controller .
8.set output device to usb headphones .
9.adjust and tesr volume of microphone .
10.adjust bluetooth headphone volume.
11.set output to headphones to all audio.

just as the title says. ive tried the long press like the instructions said, the double press like someone in the reviews said, and any other manner of long or quick presses and absolutely nothing makes it enter pairing mode. ive seen a few people in the reviews having the same issue as me, so my guess is its a very cheap device and its a total crapshoot whether youll be lucky enough to receive one that works. dont take the chance, find a better one. would not ever recommend, total failure.

I had one minor issue which was not the fault of the directions provided.I use a USB hub designed for the slant of the PS4 slim. My spare U8 Bluetooth earbuds appeared to connect just fine. No rapid blinking, as the directions say, but still connected with the steady blinking stopping when my earbuds announced as connected. There was no sound, but the microphone test worked just fine.The end result is that the USB adapter had to be connected directly to the PS4 and not to the USB hub. When connected to a USB hub the setting do not have the USB headphones setting (USB Composite Device), just TV or TV amplifier.After disconnecting the USB hub and plugging the USB adapter directly to the PS4 the setting on the directions appeared and the sound worked.PS4 settings:From your home screen upon login go to1) Settings2) Devices3) Audio Devices a) output set to (USB Composite Device)I set the volume control to max and adjust on the U8 earbuds to a comfortable level with no issues.I hope this helps.Photos provided.

I love the gaming headphones I have but PS5 wouldn't let me connect them.Thankfully this product was the middle man and helped me keep my high end headphones connected to my PS5.

I’m a casual gamer, don’t need the extra special gaming headphones, but do like to play when my boyfriend is sleeping without disturbing him sometimes. I figured why not buy an affordable adapter. It was a fast and easy set up. What worked for me was plugging usb receiver into ps5, putting AirPods in pairing mode by holding down the noise control button till white, hold close to receiver and press and let go until receiver button stops blinking and headphone light turns green, headphones should be paired, then continue with controller receiver. So far works great, no issues with connection. Sounds good with a bit of volume tweaking in the sound menu. Worth the price! Hope this helps!

Upon plugging in the dongle trying to connect a pair of airpod pros the light never flashed quickly it flashed every 3 seconds so I never knew if it was working or not but it was not connecting to the airpods but in between this 30 minute period it would light up blue and stay blue, luckily I noticed my dog started barking down stairs so I went and found one of my kids had a bluetooth speaker nightlight that must stay in pairing mode that it had connected too, but once I found that out I knew it was trying to pair even though it never "flashed quickly" and when thats the only indicator you have to go on i was about to request a replacement but thanks to my french bulldog downstairs I was able to connect the airpods, I first had one in my ear and after a second put another in and it didn't sound quite equal between the two so I put one back in the case and pulled it back out and put it back in my ear and the sound is very clear. Im very happy to have got everything working correctly but it can be tricky at first which is why I wrote this review to help someone else with their set up, still not sure why mine does not "flash quickly" when putting it in pairing mode but it still works and thats all I care about. I hope this helps someone. I probably never would have figured it out had it not been for my dog lol I just thought it wouldn't activate pairing mode. But product works as advertised and for the price you can't beat it. Haven't tried the microphone part of it yet but will update if I have any issues. Only reason I'm only giving 4 stars is because of the pairing mode quick flash not working correctly made it alot more difficult to figure out what the device is doing when thats all you have to go on.

Saying this ahead of time: THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE WRONG.The instructions say, "[...] press the dongle button 2 seconds, the LED indicator flashes quickly," and yet I could NOT get it to do exactly that; it stayed as a slow blinking blue light. So I held the button longer, thinking maybe that would work. No. Tried rebooting my PS4 with it still attached into the USB slot, and reworking the button. Nope! Instead, I just pressed the button quickly, less than 2 seconds, and it began rapidly flashing. Then I put my QCY (QY8) headphones into pairing mode, put the second smaller device into the PS4 remote, followed the settings guide, and tested it on an MP4 in Media Player. It worked. Maybe it's slightly lagging, I'm not sure. Not noticeable enough for me to care.I'm knocking 2 stars down because they need to fix the instructions, or put a notice on the item page addressing the problem. It's a great product that patches a major gap in PS4 functionality, but it's downgraded by lousy instructions that turn it into guess work. This would be a 5 star review otherwise, because it turns the aging PS4 into a good media player and extends its usefulness, while also working just fine with cheap headphones.

This works amazing great sound great connection and easy to set up and for this price it is awesome i wanted this one because most others are really big and hang out too much get in the way this is very minimal and unlike others i had no problem with the mic as my headset has a mic and i dont need to connect the little jack attachment to my controller all i need is the the little usb and leave it connected to my ps4.
