The product is very good and is of high quality. However, it comes from Germany and the lead time was very long... ordered placed in beginning November and received the product mid-January.

Fantastic quality; external thread is sharp - which prevents splitting and seats the insert well in hardwood, for softwood and particle board I use a drop of Le Page PL400 or some epoxy to remedy the weakness of the surrounding material, nothing wrong with the inserts, but they need something solid to hold on to.Internal thread is just as good, made to the tolerances of a premium nuts, German engineering, I guess.Hex socket used to drive the insert in is also made to specs, this means that good hex drivers I have (De Walt, Ryobi and Husky) fit well, but the cheapos do not.Beware of cheap imitations, initially I bought some Chinese junk, which looked good in the picture, but it was just good enough for the picture - unusable in real life, dull external thread, internal thread out of specs, did not fit the screw; I had to return this excuse for a product. Those inserts solved the problem, they work.Internal threads are so good, that screws can get lose from vibration, I use Locktite blue to prevent it; we are doing wood working with metal machinist tolerances here, so machinists rules apply.

Like some inserts, this one did not split as it was being screwed into wood.

These are Rampa Type SKD30. Difficult to thread straight, so I drilled a hole in a block of wood and used Amazon ASIN B07R2JDX8Y tool to thread into wood. See photos. Rampa is good quality and work great. Made in Germany.
