Where to start....Love the chassis and the idea of the parts it includes. BUT the quality control and hardware, should be a 1 star I knew from previous builds that the hardware is basically marshmallows . The only hardware I will use from the kit, is the sleeved screws going into the 4 lower links. And the four that hold the sliders the rest will go straight in the trash, for fear of stripping bending and snapping. Next the links. Well they seemed to forget there is a right and left side to a vehicle. This is fine if you aren't worried about how things look. Next, the pivot balls. I've found several that are incorrectly drilled and will not except a screw thankfully I have a lot of hardware from years of building and found that the injora aluminum lower shock pivot balls will work, but will need to be worked a little to run smoothly. In addition the links themselves are painted brass. And they were completely scratched .Shock mounting. * THE HOLES FOR THE SHOCK MOUNTING are under sized on purpose this is so you can mount your shocks with out the need to use a nut. USE THE NUT! If you are going to put the model through its paces you'll definitely want to make sure things stay in place. The 3d printed items. Are fine. If you are a perfectionist, you'll find somthing, but they function as they should.Final thought. This is a great lcg chassis and performance is on par with some of the more competitive crawler companies. But the Qc is non existing the first time hobbyists may find it very frustrating especially with lack of instructions. But the seasoned builders should be able to overcome its short comings.

I have been building RC car kits for 40 years. This is the worst product i have ever purchased. I have rarely left a “negative” review.I’m writing this simply as a heads-up before you buy. If you really like the design, buy two. You’ll need the extra parts. The brass skid plate was poorly tapped. Stripped the hex head fittings of two of the bolts trying to install one of the 69mm links. (Soft bolts) I was about to just order a screw kit when on my third try the screw broke off flush in the threaded section effectively ruining the skid plate. (There’s no easy-out for a bolt that small. LOL). I was able to install the links on my DEADBOLT’s factory frame successfully, however the holes in a couple of the brass ball inserts were too small and had to carefully run the bolts through before installing them. I would give the 3D printed plastic parts a B+ because they looked OK and would probably have been functional, but without the skidplate the frame and the various plates are basically worthless.@RampCrab, you have some great ideas, but the QC isn’t there, at least on this product. I get it… these parts are TINY and difficult to produce at this price point… However, please provide quality hardware and tap your brass properly.See you on the trail.

I bought two of these chassis kits. The skid plate holes for the links are not tapped far enough the first kit barely went together but while assembling the second a bolt way before flush after applying pressure to remove the bolt it snapped off in the skid plate rendering my whole second project dead in the water what makes it worse is I only have a couple of days to disassemble the whole project in order to get a refund don’t let yourself get stuck in the same situation that I’m in just buy something else nothing exclusive or high end (as stated on packaging) about this kit

This chassis is pretty decent. The machine could be a tad better my biggest gripe was the hardware is awful an strips effortlessly. I only used 4 bolts that it came with the kit for the chassis side links the rest I transferred from my scx24

I purchased this chassis after seeing it used in a few builds online. I liked the choice of battery positions offered in the kit. The kit came with lots of hardware and other parts needed to set up the chassis. I didn’t use the included links because I’m instead using brass Mofo CBolt links. It went together without any trouble, has lots of adjustment available, and fit the stock Deadbolt very well. Great product that I am so far super happy with.

I bought this for a LCG SCX24 build. I have purchased Rampcrab servos in the past and happy with them. This was the first time buying a chassis kit from them. I liked the concept and angled skid. I have built several SCX24 builds prior and feel this is important to call out. Like many of the reviews ahead of mine, the hardware is very poor quality. When assembling, I had 3 bolts snap when only halfway through the carbon fiber chassis rails. Then when attempting to attach the brass skid, the holes were poorly tapped and a bolt snapped when attempting to unassemble the kit. Very disappointed, and turned off of the Rampcrab brand. Hoping to see a response from the brand.
