It measures 8”x9.5”, but the thickness is only about 1/8”. It wasn’t very clearly indicated on Amazon.ca. I realized afterwards that deep in the specifications it gave the thickness in metric, even though it states 8”x9.5” at top of ad. I was looking for 3/8”.

Needed to replace these on the hood in my 1980’s kitchen that I am planning on renovating next year. They are thinner than the ones that were installed on the hood but they new, clean and allow the hood to function better

It looks similar to the filter it replaces, so it should work. It was shipped in an envelope and got bend badly along its frame (indicated by the red arrows in the photo). It was easily straitened and the creases smoothed out using a plastic sharpie body on a hard countertop. However, the frame was loosened by the fix, and although this was also correctable, it seemed like the item could have easily been damaged my worse, possibly allowing the frame to part entirely from the filter media, rendering it unusable.

The filter was fine, but the condition it arrived in was only fair. Wrapped in thin plastic and placed in a mailing envelope, it had many dents in it upon arrival. Too much effort to send back, so I bent it best I could to fit stove hood fan.

I picked this up to replace a very old one. This one is definitely thinner and lighter than the one it replaced. But it works well and fits perfectly and securely. The mesh is dense and shiny. It is not boxed. It's simply wrapped in celophane and shipped in an envelope. Unsurprisingly, it bent a bit in shipping, but it was simple enough to bend it back flat. Either the packaging or the shipping packaging could use improvement, but I did not not deduct stars for that.
