Tim Holtz distress crayons and very creamy and easy to use with just a spritz of water and a watercolour paintbrush, or used to color directly and rub with your fingers. Great fun for creative experimentation!

They are water soluble crayons. They stabilize quickly though so you gotta work in small sections or be quick with your brush and strokes. They blend well and match tim holtz distress ink line. The only complaint I have is it looks like you’re getting a lot more than you actually are. The tubes are only like half full and they go quickly- so there’s a lot of plastic waste if you use them a lot.

At first I didn't like these crayons. Then I watched the tutorials by Tim Holtz, learned the correct way to use them, then ordered the rest of the colors. I love their versatility and the many color combinations I can create. I use them in my art journal and on tags with and without gesso.
