This softball appears to be a high quality softball and it has the feel of leather.Looking at the seams, you can see that the "leather" is very white, and the outside of the ball is stained yellow.I did actually try to tear off a small piece of the ball at the seam. The ball would not tear at the seam.I have to give this ball 5 stars for the time being.I can return to this review should it disintegrates in play.

I ordered this judt to get back into softball. It's well made and stitched good. You can tell it's not as *sturdy* as a name brand softball but this works good.

The ball is a great for throwing and hitting but not helpful for pitching practice. Although, it is the official size/weight of a softball the seams are not pronounced enough to get the correct grip for pitching. It would not be able to be used in a game situation but it is a nice option to have another ball around for practicing.

This is a regular, standard fast pitch softball. It is the 12 inch size, so know that younger players (10U and under) don't use this size. But for anyone playing in 12U and up, this is the standard size to use. There are no markings on it at all - no company, no brand, nothing that even says the size. (It did come with two small scuff marks on it though, which my daughter complained about).If you are looking for a new, official size/weight softball, this is fine. I'm not sure tournaments will accept it as an official game ball, but that is up to the umpire/tournament staff. It is perfect for practicing, however.
