It is an interesting idea and adds a quirky piece to the collection, but it is relatively difficult to have it work in practice. The marble needs to come in at just the right height and speed to successfully transfer through all three components and keep going on the other side. You can get it to work, but it can be frustrating for younger builders.

This sequentially passes the ball on top of 3 levers topped with shallow cups. The ball needs to be moving quickly enough and the input needs to be at the correct level but once set up it works very well. The levers need to be reset for each pass. You can use each of the 3 units independently if you want, so this opens a lot of options in the track setup. The effect is excellent and once set up it’s easy to use, easy to reset, and it is reliable in operation. It comes in a box that’s too a little too shallow to store the assembled units.
