Great item. Used to replace 20 year old hinges that weren't keeping the doors shut. The screws to secure had to be removed for remodel installation, but it wasn't a big deal. They're adjustable so french door cabinets can be aligned. They also are slow close without a click, so super silent.

Listen up, I'm trying to save you some money! When I bought these, I counted two of them for each of my cabinet doors. When I went to put them on, I put one on and wondered how it would work with just that one installed. I shut the cabinet and sure enough it did just fine. I have now installed one on all of my kitchen and bathroom cabinets in the house. I still have a ton of them left over so if you don't need a box of spare hinges sitting around, just order one per cabinet door, save some money and thank me later!

I searched to replace the regular hinges with the soft close and read many reviews saying they had to drill new holes for the new hinges. I kept searching and measured and compared the various hinges available. These were the answer. The Hampton Bay (Home Depot) cabinets use this short arm hinge. The replacement was perfect! It aligned and no hew holes needed to be drilled. They work perfectly, close smoothly and the cost was much less than in the store. Very pleased!

These soft close hinges were direct replacements for the original hinges installed by the cabinet manufacturer that did not have a soft close. I was careful to measure so I could get the correct soft close hinges and these matched the 1/2" offset of the doors. I couldn't be happier. The quality is great, function is exact and all hardware is included. A little time and effort will result in an luxurious upgrade. No more slamming doors.

I measured the cabinet doors and existing hardware so I knew these would line up the my existing screw holes. Each door took about 3 minutes. I replaced only one of my hinges on smaller doors; two on the larger ones. It's helpful to have an assistant to hold the door while making the switch. Love the soft close of the cabinets - it's so much quieter. And the multiple adjustments allowed me to quickly alight and space the doors more accurately than the original build. Note that these come with plastic pieces so you can drill a hole in the cabinet frame and just tap them in... intended to make installation easier, but since I used existing holes, I had to remove these pieces. That took almost as long and was more difficult than the actual installation. Also, not all of the hinges close at exactly the same rate.

If you’re looking to class up basic cabinets a quick change is to add soft close hinges. These are good quality and a quick and easy project for even less experienced home owners. Some drilling may be required, make sure you get the right kind for your cabinets.
