Got my nitro truck started for a few seconds but died on second attempt the string snapped at the knot. Pulled the starter off and fixed it after a few pulls the string snapped again! The one way bearing works great and the actuall pull starter works well too. Save you sometime and headaches and replace the string with #18 nylon braided mason twine 250ft for around $6 at home depot. It has a tensile strength of 155lbs and its mildew and abrasion resistant. Its also very close to the same diameter of the original around 1.5mm.

Broke mid pull before I could start the truck(5 pulls). Just buy TRX5170, never seen one break.

bolts up to my traxxas tmaxx...so far its doing well only used it a few times, the string does seem pretty darn thin but we will see, i held the rope and pulled on it pretty hard and it didn't break, if you are breaking this string first try then you must be really pulling on it extremely hard. I also added another knot to the top.Update string broke, got another one and the second one is junk as well.
