My wife purchased another sand that said it was white, but it was more egg shell color. This one is pure white and looks great where she has it displayed. I was really surprised at how white it was. Its still sandy and not a powder, so its easy to use. Size could be a little larger, but hey its the amount it says it is. Great buy.

I used this sand to create a sour gummy effect on my clay sour gummy worm earrings. It was the perfect size and really brought my earrings to the next level! I gently glazed over the sand to secure it to the clay worm and now they’re super sturdy while also still giving the sour effect!

Like most of the other reviews on here, I could absolutely not get the lid to come off. The sand acts as an adhesive and the lid is so cheaply made that you're actually clamping it together when you try to screw it off. I highly suggest using a large screwdriver to just pry it off, it worked for me. Thankfully I was using it to fill a souvenir milk jug so I only needed to open once. If you're going to use the sand over and over I suggest you transfer it to a different container.

Like the other review, I couldn't get the lid off. And I work out with weights. I used a textured round rubber sheet designed for opening jars, and then a lightly damp textured washcloth.. Nothing worked. Returning it tomorrow.

I bought this a while ago for a project and when I finally needed it I could not open it. I tore off the little handle trying. I bust out some tools and it still didn't budge. Then I got ticked off and took a hatchet to it. I poured it into a different jar after. I don't know what they did to this thing, but it's as if the welded the lid on.
