Unlike old-school jags, tips and patches, Speed Patches are optimally fitted for maximum bore contact when center-spiked over the Speed Jag. This means a cleaner bore with less pass throughs. Less effort and faster results.

Why Is Bore Cleaning Important?
Fouling in the bore negatively affects riffling and robs the barrel of its accuracy and consistency. Some corrosive residue can also cause irreversible pitting and degradation in bore surface.
There are 2 major types of residue accumulating in the bore:
- CARBON which caused by burnt powder
- COPPER which is left behind by the projectile.
Copper and carbon build up in layers
As the layers of carbon and copper harden, they get difficult to get rid off.
- Carbon needs to be cleaned mechanically by a brush
Elongated Jag
The shape of the jag provides support for the patch and ensures more contact with the bore comparing to traditional jags. That means less effort and faster cleaning.

Not worth it. The patch does not rap around the jag as advertised, patch is very weak and falls apart.

This cleaning jag and matching patches seem like a better way to clean a bore because this combo fits the bore perfectly and the patch is very long making a more effective cleaning stroke. I like enough to convert all my cleaning to this system.

Pros: It is well made and works very wellCons: You can't use regular patches with it. You have to buy their special patches, or cut your own to this special size.
