Bought this to store ammo in that came in the battle packs because 50 cal can was too small. In my opinion this can is made as good or better than gi can. The 50 cal can on the right is for size comparison. This is great can and I am buying more soon as I right this review. Came on time I highly recommend

Good price,good size metal storage box for ammunition to take to rifle range, I like that you can put a lock on it.It is also waterproof so no worries about water or moisture seeping in it.A+ for this dealer.

I was amazed at how rugged and heavy duty this can is! I was expecting lighter gauge steel but it is every bit as tough and well-built as the military surplus cans I have. This one will actually go on the luggage rack of a Royal Enfield Classic 500 motorcycle as a trunk, matching the Army green of the rest of the bike. I think you could shoot this out of a cannon into a rocky mountain face and barely scratch the paint. Really nice and versatile can for horizontal storage applications. The lid gasket is apparently VERY air and watertight. It went BOOM! When I popped open the latch. I live at a mile high elevation, so it was probably sealed up down closer to sea level. Nice work, folks.

It’s larger than an 50 cal surplus can, but I prefer the shape and size for my storage space. Unlike other big box store budget ammo cans, this thing is actually pretty sturdy and rigid. Zero flex when stacked, so they won’t warp or compromise the seal. The rubber seal seems to be more than sufficient for an airtight, waterproof seal. I say “seems” because I won’t be doing and long term submersion or vacuum testing. It is ready to lock, if you want to throw one on the can. The foam is a nice addition. I’m definitely going to buy more for storing some of my collectibles.

This ammo box is very akin those used by military units for many years. This box is very functional, but being a larger version of those boxes, I thought the metal could be a little thicker material. They are also a little pricy too. With that being said, they are a perfect size to complement my storage needs.
