I hadn't realized how much the old snubbers had rotted and collapsed until I was under the truck looking for a noise.Compared to the ones I took off, these are an inch taller, they probably were the same size as the OEM ones were originally 21 years ago. Some reviews say these are cheaply made, but that is not my experience. If you install these using a wrench or a ratchet, you will be golden. If your using an impact gun, your going to mess them up. (Common Sense when working with metal attached to rubber)My Excursion is about 9500lbs.With the tools in the back or a trip to Costco, I am probably pushing close to that 5 ton mark.My Excursion is now riding like a dream.

I installed these on a 2000 Ford excursion that had pretty significant rear squat towing my trailer and raceCar. Installation was simple and straightforward. My biggest regret is not having done this earlier. I still want to get leveling springs, but in the meantime, these fit the bill. sure, I am riding on the bump stops with the trailer, but it really level things out. Also, because the bump stops are mounted on the leaf spring. The ride is not as hard as it otherwise would be.And as an added bonus, it gives the Ex a subtle, but mean, rear to front rake. I’m sure the improved aerodynamics are worth 10 miles per gallon.😂

I put these on a 2005 Ford Superduty after the OEM's dry rotted out. The rubber on these feels almost oily so I am not sure how long they will last. The hardware is fine, nothing to complain nor write home about. If you've been looking for jounce/stop bumpers for a Ford Superduty or Excursion, these do fit the bill. But be mindful that these are more conical in shape than the OEMs which are usually flat. They should still function fine but make sure they go on straight so the point of these will contact the right point on the axle.
