Installed in my wife's car. It was easier than I expected. She hasn't complained!

Had my mechanic install it. Perfect picture with colored guidelines. If it fails, I will advise.

The camera fits nicely in my 2013 Ford Escape Titanium, and the image quality is clear, but it's slightly off-center. It's installed correctly, but the lens inside the camera seems to be angled to the side, as if it was designed for cars with cameras mounted to the side of the license plate instead of the center. Despite this, I'd still choose this camera over paying ten times more for the genuine one.

With a few simple tools this camera can be installed in about an hour. It sure beats about $600 for a dealer installation. I would like to offer a couple of suggestions. You will need a #20 torx bit to remove a couple of screws and a 10 mm deep well socket to get at the four nuts that hold the plate on. Use care removing and installing the trim pieces starting with the section closest to the top of the hatchback and working around. The clips make a lot of noise when unsnapping so don't worry about breakage. Take your time. When mounting the camera on the strip, make sure it goes all the way down. It is a little snug but a little wiggling will get it seated. When installed some reviews say the image is upside down. If it is turn off the car wait a few minutes and the Ford Sync system will pick up the direction. If the parking assist lines don't come up right away, reset the Sync system to factory settings and it will then identify the new camera. Go to system, settings and reset to factory settings. You will have to reprogram your phone back into the car.

Very small camera looks like factory camera. fitment is excellent with no issues. Price is very reasonable than Ford dealership. my recommendation is make sure you do what you can to keep the unit from getting wet. specially if you run the car through the car wash. This aftermarket unit works good right from the start. but only had it in for a week. update 8/22 still working Great 👍

Not the best quality, blurred on one side, but better than the old camera

Easily installed but you gotta pretty much brak the clips in the plastic from where the camera was using a screwdriver . Do it from the drivers side of the plastic and use a high grade glue to put it back and it’ll be better than new . If you want to do it the hard way then you have to remove all the trunk plastics which will cause clips to break and often leave the trunk rattling . The picture is clear from the monitor and and the lines are in place . I did put a drop of glue in by the well the camera sits in to keep it from moving around .

I was on the fence about buying this. Figured there was no way for 54 bucks my issue would be corrected especially with me installing it myself. I was quoted around 500 bucks to replace my review camera. My back up camera would work intermittently sometimes and other times the screen would just be all blue or black. I replaced the camera and have used it now for over a week and it's worked like a charm with no issues! Pictures don't do it justice because of the glare of the screen both at night and day time when i was taking the picture but the picture is clear! Save yourself the money and just buy it here and do it yourself. Also fyi, you don't have to tear your door apart like YouTube shows. Where the camera is there is a black plate around it. You just pop that off and the camera just pops out. If you have a 2014 ford escape save yourself the trouble and don't tear your door apart because you won't be able to get to the camera that way.

I installed this in my 2013 explorer in the only configuration it would fit in the slot the old one came out of. The picture is upside down and the lines are curved all the way left…. Unusable. I tried to flip over but it won’t fit in the slot the opposite way.By the time it came and I was able to find time to take my liftgate apart to install it, the short return window had passed.

I was getting error messages on my 2015 ford escape. I replaced the camera with this one and it works better than the original. I little hard to install due to the plastic housing on the car that breaks easily which has nothing to do with the camera.

Bought this to replace the backup camera of my 2014 Ford Escape which was having intermittent problems. This camera is clearer than the original camera and even provides a wider view of my car's rear
