Two weeks after my last day to return this item I have one battery completely dead and won't charge and the second battery is lucky to hold half a charge. I am down to two batteries and they are lucky to last the one day of use. I would not recommend this item.

My twelve year old LOVED this gift for Christmas! And I’ve already saved $$ on batteries! This is a no brainer! Bought a second one for my other son!

A convenient way to keep xbox controllers charged. Heads up the batteries only fit in one way and the fit is tight. DO NOT force it.

So the only bad things I ran into was that the batteries are a tight fit in my controllers, and there is no charging plug just a CABLE. Other than that they have a good life span in my controller and the charging time is acceptable. At the current price of 27.99 it's not really a bad deal.

These have about 3 times the battery power that a lot of these rechargeable's usually advertise. They also charge quicker than the other, less powerful battery packs I have. These are definitely my favorite, the only thing I dislike is that like most items like this -- they do not come with actual power cables anymore. It comes with a usb cable, which would work fine if you can place it right to your xbox and power it that way. My xbox is high up on a shelf so instead I plug this into the wall with a USB power plug that I had to provide myself. The charging battery does turn green when it's done charging.

These batteries do the job just fine, though, you need to be aware of exactly how to put them in your controller as I fear they may be a fire hazard installed incorrectly. One side of the controller's contacts are just a short across the batteries so they run in series and these battery packs skip that connection and just go to the two active contacts. They CLAIM to have overvolt and overheat protection but God only knows with these cheapo no-name brands.Anyway, the batteries themselves work great, though their lifetime is no different from what I can tell to the 2800mWh ones I was using, and like them freshly charged batteries report to be only about 75% charged when put in the controller and tend to stay around there until right before they die. When it reports your batteries are low you have like 3-5 minutes if you're lucky to change them out, probably less. Not that they don't last PLENTY long and with 4 of them you can cycle them through and not have much in the way of battery worries. The charger is a little iffy, I find that if it gets jostled or moved while charging it likes to just immediately shut off so you have to unplug it and plug it back in. It didn't get overly warm in use and charged the batteries pretty quickly on arrival, but I haven't been through all 4 yet to run another charge cycle from dead. My usual pattern with my other set was to set the charger on when I put the 4th battery in, which meant I never was without good batteries.I would be careful with storage of these since the active contacts are on the same side, and again, potential fire hazard. I keep them in the charging cradle when not in use and cycle them in a known order to keep track of which are charged and which are dead.I'm kind of torn between 3 and 4 stars, mostly on account of the potential for fire hazard. They claim to have a number of safety features but I've heard that before in these kinds of batteries and i would vastly prefer if they'd just include contacts on both sides so it behaved like two AA's stuck together and eliminated most of that danger. I'm going 4 stars simply because they do work very well.
