I had ordered a replacement because I had luck once before, but this time around the replacement part was in worse condition than what I was trying to replace.After my mechanic got back in town, had taken the entire tool to him to see if it was something that I had done in the installation which I’ve done half a dozen times already, And he took the piece apart and found the inner spring was already damaged and the couple times that I did try using it had made it even worse. The long and the short of it is that I didn’t have my tool for almost a week. It obviously took a few days to come to me, and I had to wait another two days for my mechanic to tell me that I had wasted my money on a defective item.

I purchased two of these. The first assembly the pull cord handle separated from the handle on the first pull. So you have to rig up this up from the get go. After several pulls the retractable assembly no longer retracts. Second assembly the exact same thing happened above. Poor quality and robust as an egg shell.

There’s no metal pin on the pull rope . Only a little knot . After one pull the rope will come out of the handle and you have to rewind the spring .
