I used this to clean my stylus on my turntable. The stylus in general is very delicate to clean.

The liquid's surface tension prevents it from soaking the brush, so the drop just stays on top of it. Obviously this hasn't been thought through. Seems like the brush is okay, and after some fiddling, it does do the job

I was going to buy a silicone blob but heard to many complaints about the needle collecting it on the tips and ends up on the album. So I am doing it the old fashion way. It works great and is easy. Sometimes the old ways are better than the new.

This item is ideally designed for the gentle cleaning that extends the life of your stylus. The bristles on the cleaning brush are extremely thin, and soft as silk. However, they are densely packed so as to make maximum contact with stylus. With my amp volume turned up, l hear most cleaners drag across the stylus, sounding as if it’s being dragged along concrete. With the soft, non-abrasive bristles on this brush, I heard virtually no abrasive sound at all, yet observed it fully cleaning the stylus. Audiophile vinyl sounds incredible, my regular collection is now more playable than ever! I am extremely pleased with this item, and recommend it highly!
