I used this trowel to apply Titebond Fast Grab FRP adhesive to some plastic paneling, which I mounted as a tub surround.The trowel was a great value. It wasn't the exact trowel recommended by the adhesive manufacturer but it was very close and did a great job. I like how the small side fit into my small container to scoop out adhesive, and the long edges were perfect for spreading the adhesive at a good pace, keeping the adhesive tacky without drying. I was very impressed and would recommend this trowel for FRP adhesive projects.

unfortunately a trowel gets wet and scratched on rock,trowels should not exactly be metal unless coated by a solid plastic or polymer coating to increase the duration otherwise it will rust even if good cleaning probly better too with multiple base slat change outs if coated to make longer lasting but other wise rusty tools dont look good and spreads rust on other surfaces

The Vs on this trowel are stamped and VERY sharp. used with subway tile and Roberts 5900 adhesive on primer'd drywall/plaster. NOT good to use on drywall which has a coat of REQUIRED vapor blocking primer. The sharp V tip can cut the primer coat allowing moisture into the gypsum/backer board. Works OK IF the Vs are ground down to remove sharpness., better yet, get a different V-notch trowel that has flat tips; not pointed. NOTE too this is steel, better if made from stainless, and it will rust if it gets wet and not wiped dry after cleaning.
