This red dot sight is bulkier than I'm used to, given the 1x40 sizing. The end caps are rubberized but not attached, so easy to lose. The battery is included so it can be used right out of the box. The red dot feels small but perhaps just relative to the larger objective of this model. The mount is reversible (flips upside down) to work on Picatinny or 11mm dovetail. The price is certainly right, though I'm not confident in longevity.

I've picked up multiple versions of this 40mm red dot from Pinty and other random Chinese manufacturers. This particular version is the first one I've run into with a plastic tube instead of aluminum. Given it's going on a nerf blaster it should be fine for my purposes. We'll see if it holds any kind of zero after running around with it.

I think this sight is a good value for the price point. I like that it's metal since I've run into many that are plastic at this price level. The battery came installed, so it was ready to mount on my unit out of the box. It installed easily on my Picatanny rails. I was able to get things lined up fairly quickly using this in conjunction with a bore sight. The actual dots could have been a little bigger, but again at this price point it's acceptable. I like it.
