This is a great footprint for backpacking tents that need a supplemental base to avoid damage & wear. I purchased this for use with an REI Half Dome 2 tent. it fits the tent as well as protects the base. One point of advice, try to avoid exposure of the footprint. Any rain or moisture will collect and head under the tent like a gutter. You want to make sure none of the footprint can be seen, yet it is there to protect the base of the tent from the ground.

I picked up several of these for a few reasons. I camp a fair bit, and wanted to stop using a giant tarp under my tent because I'm trying to shrink the volume of stuff I'm having to bring along. These are very small and pack into their bags for easy storage and carrying. This one in particular, I got to use for camping. I have a 1 person tent, and this is almost the perfect size to fit under it. It's slightly larger than my tant, so I just fold the edges under the outer edge of the tent. They are fully waterproof, and have corner grommets for staking down. For the price, these can't be beat.

We are so happy to have found a footprint to work with our tent. We haven't been able to find an REI brand footprint for it anywhere. This works well, and even better if you get two extra stakes
