This is NOT a universal, one-size fits all item! THE DESIGN (SHAPE) is an exact equivalent of the OEM, including all details. This will FIT JUST LIKE OEM but LOOK WAY BETTER! Detailed instructions for installation are included.
The mounting hardware is not included, you need to re-use the mounting hardware found on your stock item. No modification or trimming required for most items at all. Minor adjustments might be necessary if the item is a cover that needs to be glued to the underlying panel. Most armrest covers are slide-on and feature flat elastic on the bottom holding the cover to the armrest without glue. In select cases, due to the shape of the armrest lid, elastic is not feasible and such armrest covers needs to be glued. Please contact us in case of any questions.

I started having issues with my rubber boot freezing up in the cold so I replaced it with this beautiful leather boot. It’s very soft and easy to install but we did reuse the metal plate to screw it back down. We will probably repaint it eventually but it did fix the shifting issue when the rubber one kept freezing in place. Plus it upgraded the look of my interior 100%. 10/10 recommend!

I received this on time, installation was easy enough, the craftsmanship is top notch, and it looks great; at about a third the cost for a new rubber boot.

I doesnt come with the flange at the bottom of the boot to screw it down with.

Like others have said you must re use your original trim ring, It does require a little bit of struggle to pull the leather flange area out to match the bolt pattern but nothing out of the norm. I spent about half an hour installing on my 89 Jeep Wrangler with a 2" body lift. This solved my OEM rubber shift boot trying to pull the transmission out of gear or making it near impossible to shift into 4L. ESPECIALLY during cold weather. It seals up well and no more cold drafts coming up past the shift levers. Well worth it.... would buy it again in a heart beat.

Ordered this product on August 3 and was to be delivered between August 29 and September 20. It arrived yesterday on the 13th and I got it installed today. I hoped it would cover up the mounting ring like the original rubber boot did. So in the next day or so I will paint the ring and also the shift lever. It's a nice product and well made and it looks great and the price is right. It took longer to install than I anticipated. I had a hard time getting the shift knob off of the transfer case shifter. It's a threaded shaft like the transmission shifter. I didn't have glue like the on-line instructions suggested so I had to pull that piece under the mounting ring and that was a pain. I had to go the hardware store and get self tapping screws to remount the ring. But in the end it is well worth it.

Honest full grain leather; soft, substantial, the color looks beautiful, and the stitching is perfect. This is a replacement for the ripped rubber shift boot (dual shift lever transmission/transfer case) for my '88 Wrangler, and this is such a nice upgrade. Love the look!
