REDSHIFT Handlebar Shim for ShockStop Stem
This Bike Handlebar Shim is a useful bike accessory that allows you to install the ShockStop Stem on your bicycle handlebar. An easy solution to fit your ShockStop Stem if you have 25.4mm or 26.0mm handlebars. Easy to install in minutes, place the bicycle handle bar adapter shims on either side of your handlebar, and clamp securely into the stem. Once installed, the shims are essentially invisible.
How do I know if I need a handlebar shim for the ShockStop Stem?
The ShockStop fits 31.8mm diameter handlebars without the need for any additional parts. If you have a 25.4mm or 26.0mm diameter handlebar, you will need to use these shims. The handlebar clamp shims adapt 25.4mm or 26.0mm bike handlebars to the 31.8mm ShockStop Suspension Stem clamp. Width: 50.8 mm (2 inches).

With this shim, I encountered difficulty in securing the bars, even at 5nm. I utilized it for a pair of Nitto handlebars to attach to my redshift stem, but it failed to hold tight. Following advice from my local bike shop, I ultimately acquired a different shim with grooves, which successfully resolved the issue.

It tightens up pretty good, but my handlebars were still able to move even after tightening as hard as I can. If I were to hit a bump my handle bars moved.

Fits a 26 diameter bar. And you can use a modern stem. Nice cheap solution to the problem that actually works. Hasn’t budged or creaked once in 300 miles of various types of riding including aggressive riding on rough surfaces
