Buy a winch that suits you best
The general rule for picking a winch is to get one rated at 1.5 times the gross load of the vehicle. Net weight is the total weight of the vehiclein addition to the driver, fuel, and any gear or tools that will be carried. To determine your truck’s gross vehicle weight, simply load it up with all your trail stuff, fill the gas tank, then drive over to the local truck stop or dump and weigh the truck on a vehicle scale.

I installed this on my sxs. I pullled my Hmmwv out of the water, after it died on me. Had no issues. Would definitely buy again.

I went to use it a few days after receiving it and out of the box it didn't work. Neither the rocker switch or the remote work. In addition, the nylon rope does not look like it will support 3000lbs once let alone repeatedly. The bolts for the "line guide" were too short to use lock washers and the manual was for an entirely different winch that did not even have a remote. I will stick to metal cable winches from here on out. The winch itself was fine but not much use w/out a working switch and remote. It's going back!

The wench and all the other products seem to work well. After about 3 uses the rope started to fray in spots.Tried to contact amazon to contact the seller about this. All I got was a loop and never did get the seller.

Winch is your typical 3500lbs model, but the self contained control group and wireless remote and added features that make this surprisingly nice. I do kind of wish it came with a line stop. Fortunately I had a spare that I added to this (not shown in picture)

The product is deficient, the remote control does not work, I installed it after 30 days from the purchase and now i realized the remote is not working and there is no costumer support available anywhere, not happy.
