I avoid carpet tape whenever possible because of the waste it creates, but there are places where a rubber anti-slip pads just isn't good enough and you just need tape for safety reasons. Carpet tape has other art & craft and DIY applications too simply as double-sided tape, which is more what I got it for. This particular tape is much more affordable than name-brand tape, and it sticks well and does what it's supposed to do.

We had carpet steps that were sliding and made using the stairs and adventure. We also have a small dog and a cat. They would have accidents (well maybe not the cat : ) ) so being able to remove them easily to toss in the washer wash a requirement.This tape worked perfect sis not have to cover every square inch and they hold tight, no more slippy slidesy.Yet we're easy enough to remove to Ross in the washer. And still usable provided no high heat drying. We found air dry or just hanging them out works ideal.Have plenty spare tap and firmly heals carpet that we can keep clean.And compared to pricing if other "tapes and stickers" this was a bargain for how well it works.

I have bought different kinds of rug tape. I do have one that I really like but they were out of it so I bought this. It is so sticky. Actually too sticky. I have a difficult time pulling it from my floor. It’s great if you don’t have to ever pull your rugs up.

This tape is amazing! I’ve ordered different kinds in the past but the stickiness on this tape is insane. My rug is not moving, especially with a lot of traffic from my kids.

We have an unusually shaped, thin octagonal rug under our dining table, and chairs are constantly catching and lifting the rug edges when moved. We started with corner sticky rug hold down's (Rabenda 12 Pcs Grippers, Non Slip Rug Pads for Hardwood Floors and Tiles, Reusable and Washable Tape for Area Rugs, Dual Sided Adhesive Gripper Keep Corners Flat(Black); available through Amazon.) which helped prevent a whole side from lifting, but the rug also really needed to be held to the water proof, ceramic tile floor all the way around.This tape works as advertised! It's quite "tacky" and sticks well to both carpet and ceramic tile (along with fingers and other items like dog and cat fur!). It was a "hands & knees" job to slowly apply the tape directly from the roll to the carpet edge, cut with scissors to full edge length, and then move on to the next of the 8 edges. After this was completed, we then removed the floor side of the tape, one edge at a time, and stretch-pressed the taped rug edges to the floor. The carpet is now solidly affixed to the ceramic floor, and from the looks of things will likely well outlast the furniture placed on it without moving!!! There's a LOT of tape on the roll, so feel free to apply it to other large and small "throw" rugs to keep them from slipping. And it's quite likely you may find other worthwhile uses for it's double sided tacky coating.Highly recommended!

I have tried many different adhesives over the years to keep carpets in place on any floor surface. It was especially important now as I have a dear sweet cat whose only frustrating habit is to chew, kick and play hide and go seek with his toys on any carpet not “tied down”. Finally, I found this tape. I am thrilled how well it holds. The only thing you naturally have to expect if it can hold that well, it will take a little work to remove. It detached from rug with ease. My floor, it wouldn’t even budge - at first. I got a scraper and was making very slow progress. I stopped, got my bottle of spray Goo Gone, sprayed heavily and left it. I waited about an hour. I took the scraper and it came off like snow with a heated scraper.So, LONG story short - I definitely recommend this tape IF you want to keep your carpets from moving, etc, IT WORKS! I do also recommend having Goo Gone or another similar product on hand too😄
