Beware of this product. My transmitter came without a battery or the three assembly screws. Once I installed the screws and purchased the battery, it worked great.

Remote control sticks ON after releasing the button. I ended up releasing a whole bunch of chain that was unintended. Sometimes the buttons do not engage. Very frustrating. I had the old style unit that worked fine until my boat was hit by lightning. This "new style" is worthless.

No battery- that was. PIAAfter I purchased the battery and hooked it up, I could see it functioning with my multimeter. It created a path to ground for up/down wire. But it didn't activate my solenoids.Zero documentation. So I'll remove and discard. AnnoyedMaybe it works on smaller windlasses? No idea - again, no documentation.

I bought two of these units and intended to install them in parallel just in case one stopped working at the very wrong time. I was replacing a previous version of the same unit which came with an odd sized battery of smaller diameter that the A-27 which I am hoping will work with this newer unit. I guess you get what you pay for (or maybe not even that)

Bought this because my fiancee was complaining about our wired windlass remote. It works!!! Don't know how long but, I have got my 26 bucks out of it and then some.

I read a very good review on here . How to install. I placed mine behind my instrument panel. I connected the red to an 5 amp fuse on my fuse box. And to the up and down switch on rocker panel I used , (1/4" 2 Male and 1 Female Tabs) .The I connected the black wire to my grounding bar behind instruments panel.Works!

I had an old version of this that worked fine. I tried three of these thinking that maybe I got a bad one. None worked. None outputted more than about three or four volts. Not enough to trigger my relay. 12 volt input.

A simple and cost effective solution to my problem, the remote for my anchorlift windless was $398. The Qiilu Anchor Windlass Switch does not come with the A27 12 V battery this is only mentioned in the specifications so I missed it. It also requires a Philips #0 jewelers screw driver to open the remote. It would be nice if a screw driver and the A27 battery came with the remote. Also I had to replace the ring crimps with bigger ones and cut some to splice. Also it does not come with instructions and requires a bit of work to figure out. I emailed Qiilu for support but never got a reply. I looked up my windless and found a diagram of how to hook up a remote to the solenoid, I used the 2 small wired yellow to yellow and white to green. Also I don't think the remote is waterproof if you screw it closed tightly the buttons don't work. Next time I would go with the option for with 2 remotes One more thing may be they can make an app for iPhone and Android would be a great addition to the product. I run a ton of stuff on my boat with an iPad so I hope this comes out some day. I do have it installed and running and am happy to say that it is and so far its working.
