This is a great brooder heater. just put new chick in with it yesterday. They love it. It's easily adjustable for height. and it's big. it will definitly keep a large number of chicks warm. Customer service is fantastic. I had a missing part in the box and contacted the support. I had the missin gpart the next day. 5 star for support. The only complaint i have is that the images make it seem like the feathers around the outside wrap completely around the product. They don't. The feathers are only about 56 inches long and the outside diameter is approximately 80 nches ( 16, 16 24, 24))

So much better than using a heat lamp. Going to purchase more next year when I start raising baby chicks again.

The brooder heater has been a great addition to our chicken equipment. We initially purchased two but have since purchased a third one. Extremely easy to set up. The roost guard for the top is a must and has kept the unit clean. The fact that the heater can be easily raised as the chicks grow is an added plus. Also because the red lights aren’t going all night for heat, the chicks sleep.

This is the 4th heat plate that I've purchased. I absolutely love it! The leg's are the easiest leg's to adjust by far. I've spent countless time twisting legs to adjust height on my other heat plates. I can adjust all 4 legs in less than minute on this one and save the wear and tear on my wrist and fingers! The dome top cover keeps my chicks from pooping all over it and the generous size allowes my 30 chicks plenty of room. If you're looking to accommodate a lg number of chicks and save yourself some hand work and time, I highly recommend this heat plate! Just make sure it's lg size will fit in your brooder set up.

We raise meat chickens April-September in NE Ohio. I hate using multiple heat lamps as they aren't safe and use a ton of energy so I switched to these plates this year. So far so good, these are working great and the triangle top does prevent chicks from making their way on top of it. The only thing that is a negative is I don't think it gets warm enough for us to use with our first batch of chicks in early April. NE Ohio is usually still experiencing freezing temps and some snowfall in April and we weren't confident that this plate heated up enough to keep our chicks happy. So for the first 2 weeks, of the first batch of chicks, we used this plate + a heat lamp. Otherwise, just the plate has worked fine after that.

Seems to work well for Coturnix quail chicks. The item gets way hot to touch but they seem not to mind. I configured it at an incline with the front set higher than the back and this appears to enable them to find their sweet spot. I was afraid it would be too hot for the tiny hatchling quail chicks but they loved it. I used it in cold fall weather in the 20’s and 30’s outside and it worked very well. I am glad to have this on hand when having large batches of chicks from the incubator. The product does have a 1 year warranty which you have to register for via the company’s website in order to activate. There was no info about the warranty in the box or on the packaging so I ended up emailing them to inquire. They seem to be very responsive and helpful. I have cleaned this lightly with soapy water but not submerged. Also, vinegar seems to work well for spot cleaning it as needed. I’d definitely recommend this product and the company to anyone raising and hatching large quantities of chicks. This product offers peace of mind and a reduced energy bill compared to heat lamps.
